A friendly woman said she was from Rainbow Connected and it was about a car insurance quote I’d asked for online. I told her I already sorted my insurance. She wanted my mobile number, and after hesitating I gave it to her. Once they had it, they knew my name right away and promised to take me off their call list. I’ll update here later to say how it goes, but it looks like calling from a landline and withholding your number is the trick.
