Does anyone have any idea who might be calling from this number?

It appears to be a representative from a loan company based in Indiana, but I can't shake the feeling that there's something fishy about it.

I got a text message touting some sort of loan offer, but I decided to hold off on calling back until I did a bit of research here first - much appreciated for the info! Additionally, I've had a call from 02081339196 where they wanted me to purchase a voucher worth £120 as a way to 'verify' that I could meet the payment terms. I’d strongly advise against it, as I opted out and the whole thing sounded rather dodgy to me. Best to be wary!

If you get calls from these crooks, the best thing is to simply not answer or even block the number if you can. Don't text 'stop' either, it just shows you're there and they'll keep pestering you. Also, never call back on any of their numbers, sometimes they can charge crazy high fees, like £50 a minute or more! Just avoid all contact with them.

Over the last few days, I've gotten more than 50 messages from this number, and it's driving me mad. I've never taken out a loan or anything, but they just won’t stop texting. Weirdly, they keep calling me Rachael too, which is not even my name!

I keep receiving messages telling me to call about loans. Just a heads up... no one just offers you cash out of nowhere. It’s usually a trick to make you pay £70 or something like that. You’ve never had Barclays or NatWest ring you up randomly trying to lend money, right? It’s always a scam!

They keep ringing me about payday loans and calling me Patrina, which is kinda growing on me now. But honestly, it's really starting to get on my nerves how often I'm getting these texts. I’m thinking I might just phone them back and have a bit of a rant.

These scammers call themselves Star Loans but use loads of different names. They always want you to pay a fee upfront to 'process' a loan that’s supposedly approved. If you’ve ever signed up for a payday loan or a credit card, your info probably ended up with these guys because they buy details from marketing firms. Don’t be fooled - they’re a total scam and won’t get you any loan at all.

Today ive had calls every few minutes from these numbers +447463068264, +447455326519, +447934999247, +447976232053. Its always the same thing - they keep asking for someone called nigel or pushing loan offers about debt help. There’s also been rings from +447463047651, +447462170377, +447825336241, +447551123781 and +447501295924 all trying to get me involved with debt support stuff. Real annoying!

Got a message telling me to ring this number to verify my bank info because apparently my loan got approved. Problem is, I never applied for a loan! They did have my first name though, which was a bit creepy.

I just got a text saying my loan was accepted or something like that, but they haven't called me at all. Pretty sure it's a scam since I've never even tried to apply for a loan anywhere.

So this morning I got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent who asked for my bank info, then told me the loan application didn’t go through. Honestly, I didn’t think much of it since I’ve never applied for a loan before. But if they try to withdraw anything from my account, I’m definitely going to report them and get it sorted.

I got a weird text from this number about a loan application that wasn’t even mine, but somehow it was sent to me. It told me to ring 02036300535 to sort out some payout, which I reckon is definitely a scam. I’ve been getting loads of texts about Payday loans from random numbers, but I’ve never been near those places, so I have no idea how they got hold of my phone number. The message also tried to get me to opt out by texting 'UNSUB' to 88860, which just seemed fishy to me. Lots of people online say the same thing, that these scams don't stop even if you try to unsubscribe, and it can sometimes make the situation worse. I haven't bothered replying since it’s only about a couple of texts a day during the week. If I figure out a way to block this properly, I’ll update here. Don’t let these tosser’s drag you down! x
