Got a call from Marco David trying to sell cheap broadband, even after I told him fibre doesn’t reach our home. He was still dead sure he could get me 1 gig speed.

For around a couple of weeks, I was getting calls from someone named Sohail who claimed to be from XLN, ringing me like twice every day with offers for some cheap broadband deal. No clue where he got my phone number from. When I told him to give me a number I could ring back on, he said to call 02036275004.

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent, said his name was Mike and claimed he was from XLN Telecom. He was trying to sell me cheaper phone calls. Thing is, XLN Telecom definitely don’t use 0203 numbers. Total scam, watch out!

Some woman from India keeps ringing my shop, claiming she’s Laura from XLM - what a load of rubbish! I bet it’s some dodgy call centre in Pakistan trying to scam us. So cheeky 😡

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Xin Networks, saying they’d cover any cancellation charges if I signed up with them. Total scam. I have no clue how they got my details. I actually spoke to Xin just two days ago, so when this guy called from that dodgy number, he didn’t even know my address, postcode or landline number - which I never shared with him anyway! Definitely a scam trying to trick people.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Xin phone and broadband, but it seemed so dodgy I’m pretty sure it was a scam. Definitely fake.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the telecom company about setting up our new broadband whenever we wanted. He insisted that if anyone else from the company called, I shouldn't answer and to only talk to him if I had questions. The guy said his name was Chris William but his accent sounded more Indian or Pakistani. The way he explained things felt really odd and made me quite uneasy. He gave me a desk number: 02036275004, but actually called from 08081642484. Not sure what to make of it.

So there was this bloke called Salim, ringing me up about some Xin Telecom deal. He used the number 08081787749, which I looked up and apparently, it’s been checked out like 5000 times already. Funny enough, he knew our company name and the address too.
