Today I got a text saying I’d signed up for somethin called Gamazing by Izesoft, and to text to subscribe. I replied and then noticed they’d taken £4.60 from my account. This has happened before, just with a different service name, and I ended up being charged for weeks. I assumed it was just a one-off text cost, but then saw the real charges go through. I contacted my mobile provider, but they couldn’t do much apart from telling me to text the company again. They said they couldn’t refund me as it wasn’t their problem, even though they were the ones taking the money from my bill. After I was hit with £4.59 five times, plus a 10p fee to text stop, I’m seriously considering getting a new number - one I’ve had for 18 years now.
