Somebody rang up pretending to be from TalkTalk, telling me there was an issue with my broadband and router. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Just like a few others have said, I got a call from someone saying they were with BT, warning me about some scam concerned with my computer. They asked if I could turn on the computer so they could ‘check’ something. I handed the phone over to the BT engineer who was actually here setting up my fibre broadband. The caller hung up right away before even speaking to him. Seems like a scam to me.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my internet or router. I told them everything's fine on my end and then ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me!

Got a call from this number, but there was complete silence for nearly half a minute, which made me wary right away. Eventually, a man with an Asian accent came on the line, claiming to be from TalkTalk’s tech centre down Evesham Street in London. He said there was an issue with my internet. When I asked if he was a scammer, he went quiet instantly. I told him I’d ring TalkTalk myself to check. I’ve had calls like this before from someone pretending to be TalkTalk. Definitely a con artist.

It said it was Talk Talk calling, but I just ended the call straight away.

My missus picked up, some bloke just said hello then hung up straightaway. Pretty sure it was a scam call. Blocked the number now.
