Someone rang me claiming to be from BT. They asked if it was alright to chat, and I said yes but warned them they might not get very far. Out of the blue, they just hung up. It’s pretty clear now that it was a scam call. The accent sounded Indian, which might back up that idea, though I know that big companies like BT sometimes do have call centres abroad.
