Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were from the telephone preference service. They wanted to verify my address and the credit card info I supposedly registered with. They kept pushing to get the card number and expiry date. The line was really scratchy, and I kept losing bits of the conversation. They gave me a number, 02036201306, to ring if I still get marketing calls - might be legit, but once you’ve shared your details, it’s too late! I told them I didn’t trust this and hung up.
