This 5695 number kept ringing me and it seemed linked to another one that just hung up straight away. Both calls were about washing machine warranties or something like that. I've gone ahead and blocked them both now.

I was quite sceptical about the call I received, as the caller claimed to be from D & G regarding my washing machine insurance renewal. I’d already provided my payment details, yet no confirmation email landed in my inbox, and he didn’t even verify my email address. My building management sent me a text to check if I had approved this transaction, which prompted me to ring them up and clarify the situation. Ultimately, I decided to cancel my card-rather inconvenient, but it’s far better to be cautious than to lose £89!

Got a call from a bloke who sounded all nice and polite, with no accent really, maybe about thirtyish. When I said I don’t have any direct debit for washing machine cover, he just hung up on me. Said something about cutting £2 off monthly, but it made no sense. These kind of dodgy calls should be cracked down on big time and they ought to be put to work doing something proper, like honest folks do.
