6 yearsNo voicemail or anything, so honestly no clue who it was or what they wanted. 276 yearsGot a call from a London number but I don’t know anyone there, and they didn’t leave a voicemail either. Bit strange, right? Anyone else get something similar?London6 yearsOi, it's them Cockneys at it once more. They left a voicemail, but honestly, only daft people would bother calling back those muppets.11 yearsI had a rather unsettling experience whilst navigating the internet on Safari. My entire Mac froze up, and I was completely unable to shut it down. In a moment of desperation, I decided to ring that specific number, and they guided me through the process of using 'Force Quit' to end Safari, which was rather helpful. However, they then insisted on needing to connect to my IP address from a distance to diagnose the issue and provided me with a link to a site called 'Bomgar'. After that, they issued me a security code and instructed me to hit the 'Submit' button. At that point, I began to feel uneasy about granting access to my computer to someone I didn't know at all. So, I concocted a little excuse and ended the call abruptly. They attempted to ring me back multiple times in the following ten minutes, but I chose to disregard their attempts. I sincerely hope I’ve seen the last of this.Bomgar11 yearsThis is totally a scam, best not to call back.11 yearsMy Mac seems to have been compromised, and it's suggesting that I ring this number.11 yearsI've encountered a rather troubling issue on my Mac; the screen has become completely unresponsive. A message has popped up, instructing me to ring what it alleges is an official Apple number to resolve the problem. I can’t stand these vile individuals; they really make my skin crawl!Mac11 yearsscam alert - i use a mac and noticed this fake update pop up on safari. if ur on the latest mac software just hit cancel when it pops up the first time. then, the next prompt should have a box u can tick to stop it from showing again. if ur mac’s not up to date and u see this message, best thing is to press cmd + Q to close safari and dont try going back to that site!11 yearsI got a weird message on my MacBook Pro, so I rang the number it gave me. It sounded like Apple support at first but I soon figured out it was a scam and ended the call straight away. They didn’t ask for any info like my IP or anything, so fingers crossed nothing dodgy happened. Right after I hung up, I had a call back from a number with an Isle of Man code, left a voicemail that lasted about two minutes but I can’t get through to that number again. Would seriously advise staying well clear. Now I’m stressing they might try and nick my personal details. Properly worried here.AppleIsle of Man11 yearsThis defo feels like a scam, they were pushing some computer repair plan and wanted me to pay in US dollars. They mentioned their site, something like [#ivepcexperti###]. The call came through from India, and what’s worse is I can’t seem to get their message off my Safari browser.
