I've received five calls from this number in just the last hour. Quite persistent, aren't they?

I received a call from someone claiming I’d won a prize or something along those lines. So, I figured I’d have a bit of fun. I said, “Listen mate, I haven’t entered any competition or contest, but it seems today is your fortunate day because you’ve unlocked a special bonus. Care for a glimpse of my manhood?” They promptly hung up. Quite amusing really!

To the person ringing my phone, please cease your calls. I have no idea who you are!

Just like many other folks, I received a call claiming I'd won some free lottery tickets from a competition I never even entered! Strangely, they had my name, address, and email. The caller had an accent that sounded Asian. They went on to press for my bank details, saying I would be part of a syndicate for a mere £39 a month. I told them to take a hike and promptly ended the call.

I’ve just had a rather suspect phone call claiming I’ve bagged a prize from a competition I took part in. However, the representative couldn’t even get my name right! Honestly, it’s becoming quite concerning, and I reckon these sorts of calls ought to be flagged to the police.

Definitely sounds like a dodgy scheme. We were informed that we'd won 300 Euro Lottery Tickets in some Estee Lauder draw. However, they then asked for our banking information, which immediately raised our suspicions, so we decided to pass on the offer. The person on the other end was quite insistent yet maintained a certain level of politeness. The accent was South African, which added to the oddness of the call.

Received a call not long ago claiming I’d been awarded £1,000 from some lottery. Come on, if a lottery was genuine, they wouldn’t ring you up like this, would they? Definitely a scam, so watch out! The caller was a woman with a Chinese accent. 👍🏻

Received a call from someone requesting my sort code and account number to participate in a lottery group. They were exceedingly insistent. Best to just disregard it altogether.

Received a call claiming I've snagged some Euro tickets, but then they wanted my bank details. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Someone rang me looking for a chap named Logan, so I informed them they’d dialled the wrong number and promptly ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming they wanted to gift me 10 complimentary lottery tickets and asked for my email. I wasn’t born yesterday, though; I spotted the scam instantly! The chap had a noticeable South African accent. When I, rather cheekily, requested his email, he replied with [email protected] a run-of-the-mill name, it felt like he was trying too hard!

Received a call yesterday claiming I’d signed up for a competition to win shopping vouchers. I insisted I hadn’t entered anything of the sort, and just like that, they hung up. Quite strange, really.

I received a rather dubious phone call claiming that I had entered a competition for Iceland and supposedly won ten free EuroMillions tickets. They had my address, date of birth-everything! The trouble is, I’ve only just moved, and I’ve certainly never entered anything online as I don’t do online shopping or have any accounts. When I asked how they got my information, they kept insisting on my bank details, like sort codes and whatnot. I refused to share any of that and now they want to ring me on Monday to discuss this "massive opportunity" I could be missing out on. I've since blocked their number, especially since my 9-year-old’s tablet was how they were reaching me!

I received a message claiming I'd won ten free EuroMillions tickets through some competition I'd supposedly entered. They insisted on obtaining my bank details and urged me to join a syndicate to claim my so-called prize. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
