Seriously fed up with these accident scam calls, can't believe I'm getting them AGAIN! Is there no way to stop these nuisance calls for good? Someone needs to sort this out!

Totally a scam, just some made-up accident nonsense.

They rang me and then quickly ended the call, never rang again.

Got a call from some dodgy ambulance chasers claiming I'd been in a car crash lately. Thing is, I haven’t had any accidents at all.

Tried calling back but no answer, and they hung up on me earlier. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

I’m not sure if I missed a call, but whenever I try to call back, no one seems to answer or be there.

Seemed dodgy so I just didn't pick up. I went ahead and filed a report with the ICO.

Cheers Vodafone! It gave me a heads-up that the call might be a dodgy scam before I even picked up. Saved me a right bother!

Got a call from this number earlier today but didn’t pick up. Decided to check it out here afterwards, and yep, definitely going straight onto my blocked contacts!

Someone just called me saying I’d supposedly been in an accident that wasn’t my fault. I asked, “Who told you that?” No answer. I asked again, “Who gave you that info?” Then they just cut the call.

Lately, I've been bombarded with calls originating from London, which is quite maddening considering I'm ex-directory and on the Telephone Preference Service list. It's bizarre to think that in this day and age-2017, no less-such practices remain unchecked, especially alongside the flood of scam emails. Surely it’s time for laws to clamp down on this and for better mechanisms to be established that could help weed out and block these nuisances? With my parents unwell and my schedule overflowing with meetings, I desperately need to keep my phone line clear of these unscrupulous scammers trying to fish for personal information.

There’s a noticeable delay when answering the call. It’s obviously a scam related to car accidents. They tend to drop the line the moment you mention you haven’t been in an accident.

Received a rather suspicious call from an automated system, relentlessly probing whether I’ve been involved in a recent accident, clearly hoping to snag a positive response. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

Best to steer clear of this one-it's a classic car accident fraudster. They've only just popped up recently.

What a ridiculous prank call that was! As soon as I answered, the caller went straight in with, "I heard you were in a car accident..." When they didn’t even know my name or bother to ask it, I thought, "Hold on a sec, I've never owned a car or even driven one in this country!" So, I just cut the conversation short before they could ramble on any further. It's baffling what some folks will resort to for entertainment. They really ought to find something worthwhile to occupy their time instead of bothering innocent people with such nonsense!

The phone rings but as soon as I pick up, they just disconnect.

Got a voicemail saying, "Did you just have a car crash or something?" because I didn't pick up.

I answered the call, but there was nobody on the line. When I tried to call them back, they just kept hanging up on me. Quite vexing, really!

Con artist alert! I received one of those dodgy calls claiming I'd been involved in a car crash that wasn't my doing. It sounded like they were using pre-recorded messages, which made it a bit delayed when I answered the phone. Beware of this nonsense!
