These people rang me saying I’d won a free weekend getaway. When I tried to find out if there was a catch or what they were actually trying to sell, they just ended the call. Seems like they don’t appreciate too much curiosity! - caller: unknown

I recently received a notification claiming I was a runner-up in a holiday competition I participated in on Facebook. The prize listed was an incredible seven-night stay at a four-star resort, which sounded amazing. They followed up with an email outlining everything - all I needed to do was cover a processing fee of £69. They promised that I would receive booking forms and further information through both email and postal mail. However, it has been more than a week now, and I've not received a single thing. I'm beginning to feel like I've been duped.

Got a ring from this number on my landline just now. My usual trick when I’m unsure is to say, "Do I really want to take this?" Not surprisingly, they gave up and ended the call straight away.

I've put this number on my block list on my main mobile, but it still manages to ring me a couple of times throughout the day, very annoying. I’ve had to switch off my other phones since they don’t have a block option, which is a bit of a pain, especially when I’m in a different room and miss the call because by the time I get there, it’s gone. I’m 75 and really wish there was a quicker way to put an end to all this.

Well, at least they didn’t hide their number! They wanted to talk to Mr something-or-other? When I asked who was asking, they mumbled something about Sky, but it wasn’t very clear. Then, as soon as I asked what the call was regarding, they just hung up straight away! Honestly, wish they hadn’t bothered ringing at all. I’m sure they’ll try again though, and if they do, they’ll be reported to the ICO and that new Which? website. - Caller: something Sky related

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had this number ringing me about 5 or 6 times. Each time, I tell them to take me off their list. Today, someone called Molly promised she’d try to sort it out but I’m not convinced. They’re from a company called SKYBREAKS and reckon I can claim some free holiday options. I’ve flagged them up to the TPS every single time but it feels like no one cares much about these complaints!

Got another call from these lot just today, can’t believe it’s about the fifth or sixth one I've had in the last few weeks. The woman on the line said her name was Molly and she was calling from SkyBreaks. Once again, I told her to take me off their list, and all she said was she’d "see what she can do." I’ve reported every single call to the TPS, but not heard a thing back from them yet. Caller was Molly, by the way.

SKY BREAKS keeps ringing us up now and then, saying we're due bonus weeks since we used to own a timeshare. But honestly, we haven’t had one for years, so how can they still be offering these bonus weeks? Honestly, I’d say just steer well clear of them.

I keep getting these annoying calls from Skybreaks about 'bonus weeks' they say I’m entitled to from a timeshare I actually sold almost 6 years ago. I’ve told them to cut it out, but they just won’t stop ringing me!

I'd strongly advise against answering any calls that begin with the 020 dialing code, as they often turn out to be international VOIP calls. It's best to steer clear!

What on earth are you on about? The 020 code is indeed the standard dialling code for London! For instance, it’s used for numbers like 020 7xxx or 020 8xxx, and so on. Perhaps take a moment to think things through before you hit send on your messages!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 'Sky Breaks', saying I qualified for 'Bonus Weeks'. I’ve dealt with timeshares for years, so I knew straight away it was one of those dodgy schemes. They always try to trick you into paying, then either you get nothing or some useless offer that suits no one. Definitely a scam, stay clear of them! Caller was from Sky Breaks.

I got a call from someone called Olivia claiming she was with Skybreaks, saying I qualified for some bonus breaks - said it wasn’t linked to any Timeshare deal. I told her three times I wasn’t interested, but she got quite pushy and rude, even questioning how I could be ‘uninterested’ after just 27 seconds of her talking. When I explained I wasn’t thinking about holidays right now because I’d just lost my husband, she abruptly hung up on me. Really unpleasant experience.

This number rang me earlier, saying they were from some firm called ‘Sky Breaks’. They went on about trying to book out their 4 and 5 star resorts and mentioned I was eligible because of the timeshare maintenance fees I supposedly paid. I told them I'd given up my timeshare ages ago, like 7 years back, and haven’t paid a penny since. Still, the person said I was entitled to some offer but I just ended the call. - caller: 02036083065

I keep getting calls from some shady timeshare people, and it’s so frustrating that nothing ever seems to be done about it. The number always shows up as “Unknown” which makes it even harder to block them. Does anyone else get this? It’s like no one wants to tackle these scams properly.
