I got a call on my mobile and they wanted to know a first name for my partner and my last name! When I told them they must have mixed up the names and asked who was on the line, they just ended the call. Proper cheeky!

Got another call straight away saying I’d been in another accident. These accident claim calls come through at least twice daily now, and they’re always from different companies.

I've received calls like this in the past and always said I hadn't been in any accident. This time I picked up and the woman actually knew my name, but I told her it was the wrong number. She then started mentioning my address and again I told her she was mistaken. She said sorry and hung up. It's a bit worrying they have both my name and address.

First Response rang me up about a car crash they said I was involved in. Coincidentally, I did have a recent accident so I asked for more specifics. She just went with "in the last few years" which is pretty vague (it was actually only 6 weeks ago). I asked again for more info and she just cut the call off.
