Got a phone call out of the blue from someone trying to sell magazine subscriptions. They wanted me to sign up for a few trial deals at a cheaper price. Honestly, I was too busy to deal with it and couldn’t really tell if it was a genuine call or some sort of scam.

They keep ringing me on loads of different numbers trying to sell magazine trial subscriptions, all at different prices. They do have quite a few choices, but it takes some effort to actually get through their full list. Sometimes I just grab a free trial for the sake of it, but honestly, you have to watch out because they sneak in extra free or cheap trials with each order if you’re not paying attention. You’ll want to cancel any new direct debits quickly or you could end up paying for more than you expected. Not entirely sure if this is some kind of cheeky scam or just a weirdly good deal!
