Got a call from someone asking for my missus by her name, claimed to be from some sort of 'home protector' or something along those lines. I told them she wasn't here and they just cut off straight away. I've blocked the number since.

My elderly parents have been getting hounded by these callers, sometimes ringing up to five times daily. Even though they're on the TPS, the calls just wouldn't stop, so they had to install the BT call blocker because the volume was nuts, and this particular number is one of the worst. I've reported it already, but those annoying calls haven't stopped yet. Honestly, something needs to be done to sort out these scammers for good.

Right, so these lot keep ringing up asking for my missus but always get her name wrong and just hang up right away. Today I decided to call back and only on the second try did someone say they were from “home protect”. They claimed their number was something like "#][#Jhomeprotect###I", but honestly, I’m not buying it because their Trustpilot score is a solid 4.9. Feels dodgy to me - probably scammers using a tiny list of phone numbers to make their calls.
