Got calls from ApplianceCare247 about some appliance warranty scam. They kept pestering me for stuff like my bank info, favourite colour, and even some memorable name. Every time I hung up, they'd ring right back. Proper annoying!

I've just had a call from a number nearly identical to this one, and it gave me such a headache yesterday. I even looked it up on Google, and weirdly it had a green tick saying it was legit! Honestly, this is so frustrating and should be looked into properly. Judging by the comments here, it's clear this is definitely NOT a number you can trust!

This has to be a dodgy call trying to get your info, but I gotta admit, it’s a clever trick. I just told them to ring me again, but maybe in like a century or so.

I missed the call, but heard loads of background office sounds before they just hung up when I tried to answer. These scammers are so annoying, no matter how much they try to sound legit or pushy, never give them any details. Bloody scammers, just pestering people. Good luck dealing with these lot!

Just got a call from someone claiming to be from a warranty service, sounded totally fishy to me, definitely a dodgy scam trying to phish info.

They rang but didn’t say anything or leave a message, so I’m pretty sure it’s one of those scams.

They called about the washing machine warranty so I asked to talk to my husband. When I said we’re registered with the TPS, the guy just replied that it must not have updated properly to stop these calls, which is how we ended up getting the call. We’ve actually been on the TPS for over a decade now, like 13 years.

Got a call about some washing machine warranty problem. They asked if I was over 60 but never mentioned anything about my actual machine or whose warranty supposedly finished. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Was contacted by a company about renewing coverage for my washing machine, but I don’t actually have any cover with them. They asked for £250 to insure all my electrical stuff for two years and kept pushing for my bank card info. I called their number back and it sounded legit, so I hung up. Then they called me again, which made it seem trustworthy. Pretty smart tactic to make you believe they’re genuine!

Got a call about my appliance warranty running out, which was odd 'cause I never even got one in the first place. The woman on the line had that exact same voice I keep hearing from EDF and British Gas calls. Quite suspicious!

I received an unsolicited phone call from a woman in a busy call centre, with a pronounced Indian accent, using the number 02034115925. She informed me that my washing machine was no longer under warranty and presented me with an offer to cover all my appliances for just £225 annually. We had quite an extensive conversation regarding the details of the coverage, and when I expressed a need to mull it over, she kindly provided her name-Maya-and her callback number, which is 02036032542. Just thought I’d share! 😊 https://www.appliancecare247.co.uk/services-pricing/

I received an unsolicited call from a woman at a call centre, replete with a cacophony of chatter in the background, using a pronounced Indian accent, ringing from 02034115925. She informed me that my washing machine was no longer under warranty and offered me an opportunity to renew it, promising to cover all my appliances for the reasonable sum of £225 annually. We proceeded to have an in-depth discussion regarding what was included in the coverage, and I expressed the need to ponder over it a bit. She introduced herself as Maya and kindly provided her number, 02036032542, for me to reach out to her later. 😊 Here’s the link for more information: https://www.appliancecare247.co.uk/services-pricing/

Had a bit of a run-in with the customer service regarding an Electrical Appliance policy. When I pointed out that the individual who supposedly had the cover had passed away ages ago, the representative came across as rather haughty. They tried to justify their lack of communication by mentioning that a one-off payment had been made, which felt like a rather flimsy excuse. Quite frustrating, really!

This 0203 6032542 number keeps ringing me nonstop. I’ve made it clear loads of times they’re just scam artists trying to flog dodgy appliance warranties. Proper sneaky buggers. I even tried using my dog’s whistle to scare them off but my dog hated it so gave up on that. Now I just play along and say I’ll get the person they asked for, then I leave the phone alone to see how long they’ll wait before ending the call. The longest was 4 minutes 16 seconds today! They finally gave up when I blared out the Candy Crush tune at full blast. Absolutely hilarious!

appliance care 247 - when i called, i could hear people talking in indian accents in the background. their site was only set up in november 2020. seemed legit at first but when i tried to pay, it wouldn’t accept my card and told me to ring them instead. totally dodgy. there’s no info about any company on companies house, and no reviews on trustpilot or anywhere else online. the lady on the phone claimed to be calling from london but said she wasn’t sure about uk postal codes. all signs point to it being a scam for sure.
