I didn't pick up as it showed up as a possible scam, which can be quite risky especially for those who are vulnerable.

I wasn’t really paying attention when I picked up the phone. The guy said he could assist me in getting back overpaid tax. But then he said he can only deal with PAYE stuff, so couldn’t actually help me. I probably just said what they wanted, like “yes” or something. Fingers crossed I haven’t given away anything important. From now on, I’m never answering calls from unknown numbers!

Utter nuisance! This caller was relentless, insisting I could claim a tax refund. They mentioned my details had been passed on by another firm. Quite dubious, if you ask me!
