It's been quite a few months since I last got any spam calls on my phone, but I guess it was bound to happen again sooner or later. I missed the first ring and don’t really know why, but then they called back about an hour and a half later. I picked up this time but hung up straight away when I saw the number was 0203 - I never get legit calls from that area code. I’m curious if they’ll keep trying. If I thought I could actually have a chat with someone, I’d answer and tell them where to shove it, but judging by what others are saying, there’s probably no one real behind the line.

Its an automated system that calls out to several numbers in one go, usually about 10 at the same time. Once someone picks up, it stops ringing the other lines until it cycles through the list again. From what I understand in UK regulations, such calls can legally be made but not more than 4 times daily. Hope this clarifies things a bit!

This number has been ringing me nonstop. When it called again today, I picked up and some bloke started saying we’re paying too much for gas and electricity. I told him I wasn’t interested, mentioned the fact I’ve had loads of calls from them before, and asked to be taken off their list. He kept insisting his system showed it was the first time calling me. I disagreed, told him it wasn’t true, and asked him properly to remove my contact. After that, I just ended the call.
