Received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be linked with Google. They were probing for far too many personal details, so I put an end to the conversation. However, they've somehow obtained my business email. I’ll be extra careful in the future and ensure that I never share any information over the phone again!

I've just received a rather dodgy call today (09/06/15) at around 10 to 10:15 in the morning. They claimed to be representatives from Google and wanted to chat with the person running the show. I mentioned that the person they were after (which happens to be me, incidentally) wasn't around today. They informed me they'd give a bell later on. After the call, I tried 1471 out of curiosity and lo and behold, a number popped up! A quick search online revealed it was yet another scam operation. Honestly, is there not something that can be done to put a stop to these cheeky con artists?

I reached out to verify the accuracy of my business registration details and inquired about the individuals supposedly selling advertisements. They insisted they weren't involved in that at all. I also brought up search engines in the conversation.
