Today, I received a rather alarming call from an individual speaking with a pronounced Indian accent. He was making all sorts of threats towards me and my family, claiming that I had somehow "dodged my taxes." It's quite humorous in a twisted way-someone involved in deceit themselves berating me for wrongdoing! He alleged that he was affiliated with HMRC, but let's be honest, that’s clearly a fabrication. Do keep your wits about you, folks; this is definitely a scam going around!

They called me once today and twice yesterday, but I didn’t answer any of the calls. After checking out this page, I think I’ll just block the number and wait to see if they ring again.

Somebody rang me saying they were from the Credit Investigation Department. They asked if I had debts and told me about a government programme that could wipe out half my debt. The number they called from was 02036172195. When I asked where they got my details from, they said a third party because of my debts. From what I can tell, it probably came from when I applied for a loan. Honestly, don’t trust them at all - it’s a total scam.

Just got a call saying I’m under investigation for tax evasion and avoidance, then it tells me to press 1 to go on. They’re pretending to be from HMRC but it’s defo not them, the real HMRC would always write you a letter instead.

I keep getting calls all the time from this number and loads of others that look very alike, all saying they’re from a debt collection agency. I usually get about three or four calls every week. I’ve tried blocking the number, but they just ring me from different ones! It’s really annoying.
