I tend to ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. This bloke left a message, but it was a bit jumbled and hard to decipher. I caught him saying, "Hi, I'm Chris, I'm ring---". Then he added a rather odd "Merry Christmas!" at the end. Truth be told, I'm not anticipating any calls from someone named Chris, especially considering how often I get bombarded by dodgy callers. I can only guess this is just another scammer trying their luck.

Was just sittin waiting on a call from my supplier when some bloke called me all sharp and fast, I honestly thought it was Octopus on the line. After the call, I looked up the number and realised I'd been tricked. Tried ringin them back three times to cancel, but all I get told is a manager will get back to me. Not a single soul has bothered to call. I've now told my bank about it, this is just shocking.

I told them I’d lost my bank card, and they kept pushing me to check my phone banking app. I told them I didn’t even have one, then they started talking about finding a statement and asked me to look for it while they waited. The guy, who said his name was Mr. Handerson and sounded Egyptian, was chatting about some fixed tariff thing, but I couldn’t really follow him. I ended up giving them my bank details for a direct debit by mistake, but thankfully it never went through on my bank’s side. I’m definitely contacting the bank straight away though. Felt a bit uneasy about the whole thing, so I googled the number and realised it might be a scam.

If you notice a cacophony of background noise during the call-similar to what I encountered-rest assured, it’s not a home worker on the other end, as I initially assumed. British Gas has advised caution; don’t divulge any of your personal information, even if they seem to have a fair bit of it already!

Today, I received two calls from this particular number on my home landline, yet I didn't pick up either time. I've noticed someone mentioned earlier that this might be associated with a site called ukenergytariffs. If you delve into their privacy policy, you’ll find their registered address is 220 Flanders Drive, Mount Edgecomb in Kwa-Zulu-Natal, South Africa. Interestingly, there's also a business named ukconsumer-links that shares the same address, along with another location not far from Manchester. Quite curious, isn't it?

Watch out, these lot are total scammers. They ring up claiming they can lower your energy bills while keeping you with the same provider, which is just rubbish. They’ll try to get your bank details so don't give them anything! They spin a web of lies but sound really believable. Seriously, don’t get caught up in their nonsense.

I was seeking details regarding my electricity tariff and was quite certain of my provider. When I inquired as to their identity, they informed me about a supposed £150 charge being applied to my account and insisted they needed to visit today to “safeguard” my meter. They reached out on my mobile. I promptly stated that I would connect with my energy supplier directly. This was clearly a phishing attempt or a scam with an urgent and alarming tone. I strongly advise against sharing any personal information with them. I've decided to block the number immediately.
