I received a missed call from this number and when I tried to return the call, it mentioned something about locating an agent. What’s puzzling is that they seemed to know my name. Any ideas on how that might be possible? I'd appreciate any insights!

I got a call from a woman claiming she was from UK Tariffs, wanting to talk about my broadband deal. I told her I was fine with my current provider and wasn’t interested in switching. She then got a bit rude and said she wasn’t trying to change my provider anyway, just calling about the tariff. She mentioned I was with Openreach, which I’m definitely not. When I corrected her and said who my actual provider was, I just ended the call. This is the second time I’ve been called, but this time it was from a different number.

I received a call from this number which I couldn't take, so I thought I'd ring back. A lady picked up and mentioned that she doesn’t actually use that phone at all. Quite bizarre, isn't it?

Got a call from someone saying they were from the Royal College of Nursing, calling new nurses about some online journal subscription for just £1 a month. They even used my name, which made me suspicious since this has happened to me before. Pretty sure it’s a con.

I keep getting these super irritating calls, either someones always after money or they just hang up straight away. It’s getting really frustrating.

Got a call from RCN about upgrading my membership for just a quid a month, even tho I’d just recently signed up online. It sounded pretty genuine. Honestly, I’d prefer if they just sent me an email or I could look it up on their website instead of taking a call and possibly agreeing to pay something over the phone.

I've been bombarded with calls from this number asserting they represent RCN. They prattle on about enhancing my internet service, but it’s clear they aren’t RCN. A quick search confirms this number has no link to them whatsoever. It’s quite straightforward to verify these things these days, isn't it?

This bloke said he was ringing from Haringey council, claiming they'd cleared the passageway or something, but I was completely lost about what he meant. I've never given the council my landline number, so how on earth did he get hold of it? Felt pretty sketchy to me.

I've been getting phonecalls from this number for someone I don't know at all. When I've picked up before, I've told them it's the wrong person, and the calls quiet down for a bit, but then they just keep ringing back. Loads of calls come from Humana numbers or their marketing firms, and I'm definitely not, nor ever will be, a customer of Humana.

Just got a voicemail from this number saying they were from some place called ‘Let’s Subscribe’. They said they were reaching out about a free magazine I supposedly asked for.
