Charles Whittaker and Patrick Holden have now joined the ranks of the DOT! Handle them with caution!

I received a call from a chap named Charles Whitaker who claimed to be from HMRC, wanting a word with my managing director posthaste. Curious, I decided to ring him back, only to connect with what appeared to be a serviced office complex rather than the tax authority itself. I requested to be transferred to Mr Whitaker, but alas, the line was constantly engaged. The receptionist did confirm, however, that he’s noted in their records as a 'Director.' Quite the peculiar situation if you ask me!

I just received a rather peculiar call from someone named Charles Whittaker, who asserted he was with the Department of Education. He was insistent on speaking with the Managing Director immediately about a highly confidential issue. Oddly, he refused to divulge any details to anyone else or offer clarification on the nature of the conversation. It has all the hallmarks of a telemarketer masquerading as a significant figure. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I've been receiving an incessant stream of daily calls from a certain S Taylor (she's a woman, by the way). When I mentioned the necessity for some prior information, she trotted out all the typical excuses-claiming she needed to chat with the MD and insisting that any info couldn't possibly be sent via email due to its so-called sensitivity. It was all very condescending. During our most recent exchange, I cheekily suggested she should look up her own number online. She seemed baffled, asking why on earth she would do that, and remarked that folks must have far too much leisure time if that’s how they spend it. To my relief, she then declared she would leave this matter and move on. A brilliant outcome-hopefully, she’ll pester someone else with her cryptic tactics.

Just received a rather curious call from someone named Marina Miller, supposedly representing the Department of Health. When I queried about the purpose of the call, she seemed rather elusive, only asking for our Managing Director by his first name. When I mentioned he was out of reach, she insisted on speaking to his personal assistant, which I found rather unusual. Honestly, it had all the hallmarks of yet another one of those typical marketing sales pitches.

Received a call from someone named 'Henry Fielding', claiming to be from the 'Department of Health'. The chap insisted that I should ring him back post-haste. Naturally, he seems quite keen on that, doesn’t he?

I've been receiving calls from a chap named David Chamerlain who seems rather fixated on reaching my group chairman. He’s been bombarding my direct line with calls - I’ve lost count but it’s easily up to eight messages a day, all about some ‘urgent’ business. I've tried to figure out what it’s all about, but he won’t share a word with me. This has been dragging on for over a month now, and to say it’s getting on my nerves would be an understatement!

I've had a couple of phone calls from someone named 'Suzanne' claiming to be with 'HMRC' over the past few days. She's been quite persistent, saying it's vital for her to chat with the CEO regarding a matter for HMRC. The thing is, I suspect she isn’t affiliated with HMRC at all; it seems like she's peddling some upcoming report instead. Isn't there a regulation preventing individuals from pretending to represent a government agency when they don’t?

Today, I received a rather unexpected call from someone named Felix, claiming to be from HMRC. He was attempting to get in touch with my Managing Director. As I'm part of the Accounts Department, I thought I'd assist him with his request. However, I soon discovered that his matter had absolutely nothing to do with accounting or HMRC whatsoever; it was about some urgent food marketing issue, and he insisted it was crucial for my MD to speak with him promptly. Honestly, what a waste of time! It’s quite appalling how these people speak down to you, as if your role is insignificant.

I’ve had yet another ring from this number, and the message left on my voicemail was rather self-important, from someone named Hendry. He claimed he’d reached out multiple times, which is a total fabrication, and insisted it was absolutely crucial that we chat. I’ll certainly continue to ignore any further attempts from this number. And if Mr. Hendry happens to come across this comment, I’d kindly advise him to find a legitimate line of work instead of pestering diligent individuals. Ta!

I had a rather suspicious phone call earlier from a chap named Felix Hendry, who insisted he was representing the Department of Transport. Ironically, in our previous conversation, he had claimed to be affiliated with HMRC. He was rather insistent about needing to speak with our managing director urgently and asked for his mobile number. Curious, I requested his contact details and ended up giving him a ring back. A rather smooth-talking receptionist picked up, but oddly enough, she didn’t mention any company name at all. She went on about different government departments working together on some incentives or other. I made it clear that we prefer not to receive further calls from them. It’s incredibly bothersome!

It appears that a certain David Chamberlain, purporting to be from HMRC, has been persistently attempting to contact our CEO and Chairman over the past few days, insisting that it's a matter of urgency. He mentioned he would try calling again if he doesn't receive a callback. However, I have my doubts about his legitimacy. This time last year, we had a similar experience with someone named Michael Bond who made the same assertions.

I've had my fair share of trouble with a bloke named Peter Edwards, who keeps bombarding me with increasingly urgent messages insisting that I must get in touch with him. A quick search on this site, along with feedback from others, suggests there’s no real reason to return his call. Then there's this other chap, Michael Bond, who's been ringing me too. If these fellas are being deceptive about their identities, shouldn't we consider reporting them for potential fraudulent shenanigans?

A chap named David Chamberlain rang me a fortnight back claiming to be from HMRC. Today, he tried reaching out again, this time representing something called the Parent Initiative, but was rather vague about the specifics of the project. He seems to be quite keen on chatting with the managing director in preparation for an upcoming government meeting next week. The number showing up is 0203 582 1456, but interestingly, no company name pops up when you dial it.

It’s purportedly HMRC, but the chap answering is rather dubious, seated in a rather shabby office that looks like it’s from a different era. Every time I try to get through, I’m met with the same lacklustre response and never actually connect. Quite the farce, really!

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with this persistent company that keeps pestering us. We receive roughly six calls a week from various individuals, all of whom assert they’re affiliated with HMRC and absolutely need to have a word with our managing director right away, yet they can’t disclose any pertinent information to me as his personal assistant. This matter is obviously quite sensitive and business-focused. As you can imagine, my boss refuses to engage with them under any circumstances, and despite our clear communication, the calls keep coming in. Whether it’s Christopher Charles, Peter Edwards, or Leon Hopkins makes no difference. We will not be transferring you to the MD! He insists on knowing the details from me beforehand, alright?

What a peculiar experience this turned out to be! Initially, I was quite apprehensive about connecting him to my managing director after seeing the feedback here. However, following some investigation, it appears he's part of a government-sponsored initiative aimed at aiding parents. Although the caller's manner was somewhat brusque, it turned out to be exactly as they claimed. What a relief in the end!

I can vouch for that - rather curt towards me, I must say! Seemed much friendlier with the boss of our firm, though!

A chap named Peter Edwards rang to discuss something crucial with my managing director, claiming to be from HMRC. He insisted on having a conversation with her directly. I wasn't inclined to put him through, so I decided to Google the number instead. To my astonishment, I found a wealth of complaints linked to it. I've since blocked the number, and now he can leave a message for my voicemail!

I've received calls from these individuals roughly six times over the past week-either going by the name of Peter Edwards or Christopher Charles. They’re insisting they represent HMRC and vaguely mention needing to discuss something with the managing director urgently, yet they refuse to provide any specifics. Frankly, they can save their breath; I won’t be engaging with them! It’s evident this is just a marketing outfit trying to peddle overpriced advertising slots or something in that vein.

You won't believe who rang our office earlier today - none other than Mr Michael Bond! He claimed to represent the HMRC and insisted that he had some extremely significant information to relay to my managing director. He made a point of saying it was sensitive - so sensitive, in fact, that I couldn't share the details. He’s meant to ring back shortly, but I did a bit of digging on his number and stumbled across several forums like this one, filled with complaints about him. Well, Mr Bond, when you do decide to call again, feel free to reach me directly at 0845 600 9006, which happens to be the HMRC Business Link / Fraud Department line. Looking forward to your return call!

Hello there,
I’ve had a rather relentless individual named Michael Bond trying to contact me, insisting he's representing HMRC and it’s of utmost importance that he communicates with me directly. He’s being quite evasive with my secretary, refusing to disclose the nature of his call. To be honest, I just can’t be bothered to return his call.
