3 yearsA woman rang me claiming to represent EON Energy, stating that they had to replace my smart meter and adjust my standard rate. The odd thing is, I’m not even a customer of EON!EON EnergyEON4 yearsThey said they were from Bulb Energy and even mentioned how much I usually pay each month, which was a bit weird.Bulb Energy4 yearsLuckily, I almost missed the call since I hardly ever use my mobile.4 yearsSomebody rang me up saying they needed to install a gadget on my smart meter to get it working properly with Eon.E. Pretty sure it’s a total scam and isn’t Eon at all.Eon PowerEon4 yearsI got a call three times and at the start they said it was about a renewal. They’re just pretending to be legit.6 yearsI picked up the phone and there was just silence on the other end before they hung up.6 yearsReceived a call from 020 3582 0537 from a young woman claiming to be from ITI Capital. She knew my name and mentioned my past investments with SGS. She said after looking at my portfolio, some investments were unsuitable as wholesale ones and supposedly worth nothing. She asked if I wanted to talk with a legal expert because I might be able to claim compensation. Then I got put through to someone named Abbey, who said she was from SGS Legal. I told her I’d only consider talking further if they sent me information on official legal letterheaded paper by post. She tried to suggest email but I insisted on paper mail, then she agreed. I tried ringing back twice, just ended up in a queue with no voice prompts, only music playing. Contacted ITI directly but they had no idea about any such calls and seemed confused by my questions - really shows how poor some company call handling is these days. At this point, I’m thinking it’s just a scam unless I get something proper by post.ITI CapitalSGSAbbeySGS LegalITI6 yearsGot a call once more and couldn’t help but pick up out of sheer curiosity. The person on the line asked for me by my first name, claiming to be from a trading company I’m linked with called Capital IT. They mentioned passing me over to a legal firm, SJS Legal, about some possible mis-selling compensation. Strangely, they had my email too. Both the company and the law firm seem real, but I’m going to reach out to them directly myself just to check if there’s any truth to this. Still feeling a bit suspicious, but there’s a chance it’s legit.CapitalSJS Legal6 yearsSeems like those are just some canvassers ringing. I've gotten a few calls myself where after I pick up, there's loads of noise in the background and they just hang up straight away.6 yearsOver the past couple of days, this number popped up on my phone a few times. Didn't pick up since it looked unfamiliar, and because there's no voicemail left, I reckon it's probably just some spam.Submit Your Own Report (020 3582 0537)
