Yesterday I got a call from a bloke with an accent that seemed like he was from India or somewhere nearby. Didn’t really catch what he said his name was. He claimed to be from the “UK Accident Service” and was talking about a car crash supposedly in the last couple of years. I told him I hadn’t had any accidents, but he just insisted I had or he wouldn’t be ringing. I firmly told him again that I hadn’t, and then he just hung up.

He started with, "Good afternoon madam, this is Sam from the Accident Advice Service, I'm calling about your car accident." I replied, "Oh really?" He then asked, "When did this accident happen?" Then he just hung up, and I went straight back to what I was doing!!!

Not long after, the same number rang again, but this time it was a different person, a woman who sounded English but had a South Asian accent, I think. When I said I wasn’t happy about getting a second call and the way the first caller spoke to me, she just cut me off and hung up as well! Proper shocking behaviour.

I have been receiving persistent phone calls from the same number for the past five weeks, usually on Fridays around 4pm. Clearly, it is a scam. Whenever I answer the call, I don't say anything and there is only office noise on the other end. After a few seconds, the call ends abruptly.

These individuals are incredibly annoying. I want to emphasize that my phone number is unlisted and also registered with TPS (Telephone Preference Service). Therefore, they should not be calling me if they are abiding by the law, as I haven't given them permission to contact me. These callers need to be blocked or have their number disconnected.

Got a call again from this number. It was a lady with a kinda South Asian accent, trying to chat about some accident I supposedly had. When I asked her which accident, she just ended the call! Funny thing is, I haven’t been behind the wheel for more than two decades! My number’s on the TPS list, so why haven’t the proper folks shut down their number? When I inquired about which accident she was referring to, she rudely ended the call! The amusing fact is that I haven't driven in over two decades! After all, they are clearly violating the law with their misuse of it.

This number has rung me quite a few times lately. When the call comes from an unknown number, I usually stay quiet at first to see if the caller speaks first. With this particular one, it’s clearly an automated system and only connects you to an operator if you start talking, otherwise it just cuts off.
