I’ve had this number call me a couple of times lately. They’re basically trying to trick people into sitting at their laptops and following some weird instructions which end up giving the caller control of their computer. I don’t get why no one in the government seems to be cracking down on these scammers as what they’re doing has to be illegal.

I answered a call from a rather pushy man with an Asian accent. At first, he was asking for Mr and Mrs by their maiden name, which I told him were not at this address. Next, he inquired about the homeowner and the owner of a laptop. I was a bit curious, so I kept listening. It all seemed to relate to something about computer security, much like what someone mentioned before. Whenever I questioned him, he just got increasingly irritable, so I finally hung up. Honestly, what’s the point of these calls and who on earth are they?
