Some bloke rang me claiming to be from BT, said he wanted to check on my internet service. He kept pestering about my laptop but I told him I don't own one. After that, he just ended the call on me!

Someone claimed to be from BT, saying there was loads of unusual activity on my line. They wanted me to log into my router so they could check things out. Whatever you do, don’t share any details or let them on - just end the call straight away!

Not a single word from the other side. Seems like all the scammers were tied up with other fake calls.

I get a couple of calls every day, which is really irritating. Being older, it makes me a bit uneasy. I answered once, but now I just check the caller ID and ignore it. If I knew for sure I could block these numbers, I’d probably invest in one of those newer phones.
