They pretend you’ve won holidays or competitions and then ask for your personal info. Be careful and don’t fall for their tricks!

I’ve been getting calls from 02037402969 and 02035595941 a few times now, but whenever I answer, there’s no one there. The voicemail says to send an email to unsubscribe to [email protected][###]. I’m a bit wary about using that email though, so I just hang up after hearing the message. In the end, I’ve decided to block both numbers completely.

Each time they ask me something, I tell them to say it again ‘cause I didn’t quite catch it. I've picked up the phone just once, but since then, they’ve rung me from Manchester, Birmingham, and London - each time from numbers that seem a tad different. A good read of some other forums revealed that it’s likely a dodgy pitch akin to time-share schemes. Apparently, if your income is on the lower side, they tend to back off. I’m toying with the idea of picking up the next call and spinning a yarn about being unemployed!
