They rang both me and my other half but neither of us picked up, and honestly, after reading all the feedback here, I’m quite relieved!

Got a call from "Acosta Claims Service" about accident claims. The person asked if I’d checked the TPS first. She said sorry afterwards. When I asked her to repeat the company name and whether it was a limited company, she just ended the call. Best to steer clear.

I then requested the name of the company once more, and upon asking whether they operated as a limited company, they promptly hung up on me. This number called me twice in half an hour, plus another one popping up from a Lincoln code. Total scammers. Best way is to just ignore, or if you’re like me, wind them up a bit till they give up and hang.

Dodgy call. Picked up and this young sounding lady asked if i’d been in some kind of accident. I said no and told her to take me off their calling list. She kept asking what accident i’d had, but I said they have to remove me if I ask, and if they ring again I’ll report them to Ofcom and the police. Check the Ofcom site if youre getting dodgy calls like this.

I really can’t believe I got caught by some fake Accident Insurance firm once more. It was a lady on the phone, and you could hear kids yelling in the background like she was at home or something.

Earlier today, precisely at 4:08 PM on the 27th of January, 2016, I received a rather intrusive call from a woman inquiring whether I had been involved in a car accident over the past two to three years. I promptly replied in the negative, to which she requested confirmation of my response - I affirmed her accurately. I then asked her to remove my details from their calling list. Before I could even finish my request, the line went dead. What a bother! I've since blocked that number. Clearly, it was just another pesky insurance peddler trying their luck.

Looks like those car crash scammers are changing their tactics. Instead of a robot voice, this time it was someone real who said they got my number as I’d been in an accident that wasn’t my fault, asking “Is that right?” I told them no and mentioned I don’t even have a car, then told them to leave me alone. They just cut me off straight away without a word. I could hear other voices in the back doing the same trick to other folks, so it’s obvious they’re just dialling out and following a script.

Today this number called me three times and I missed all of them. Each time I didn’t pick up, they rang back straight away. When I finally answered, they just dropped the call. Proper annoying!

Honestly, I was so exasperated the last time I received a call, I decided to have a bit of fun with it. I responded, “Is this regarding my car accident?” To which they replied, "Yes." So, I launched into my tale. I explained how I was involved in a crash, and regrettably, my wife and children were hurt as well. I collided with another vehicle, which my uncle happened to be driving. At this juncture, they kindly transferred me to a different representative. I continued, "Yes, my wife and kids hit my uncle's car after I waved and let slip the steering wheel." The crash caused my uncle's vehicle to bump into my sister’s car, which was carrying my grandparents. Tragically, my grandad didn’t survive. Now, he was the one behind the wheel of that lovely car, and in a moment of madness, he slammed his foot down on the gas, launching over the central reservation and ploughing into my best mate’s vehicle. He was ferrying his mother to the hospital for a heart appointment. The poor woman succumbed to shock on the spot, and in a fit of rage, my mate got out and shot my already lifeless grandfather. This stirred chaos with my sister’s husband rushing out, attempting to wrest the gun away, resulting in a wild shot that struck my brother's car after we had called him for help. In no time, he lost control and careened off the road, tragically landing on the Gatwick runway, colliding with a plane which my father was piloting. The aircraft erupted into flames, and the fire brigade was summoned (I’m aware, since my uncle is part of that crew). As they approached, the fuel ignited, forcing them to veer away from the inferno only to crash into my own car. And just like that, they hung up on me.
