Hi, this is O2. How can we help you today?

Got called by someone pretending to be from O2, trying to get into my account. Spent about 15 minutes on the phone with them and they kept guessing my security answers while we talked, you could actually hear them typing stuff in hoping it’d work. They even had the nerve to ask for my bank info! Total scam, best to just block and ignore these lot.

Got a call from an Indian voice saying it was from 02. When I asked for the last three letters of my postcode, they said it was confidential and 'locked away'. I knew right away it was a scam.

SCAM ALERT - Someone pretending to be an O2 rep contacted me. Basically, they already know your number is with O2 (easy to check online) and try to get into your O2 account. They claim they’re legit by saying they’ll send you two security codes via text (which actually do come from O2). What they don’t say is that they need these codes so they can hack into your account! Never share those codes with anyone. Just hang up immediately. Or if you’re like me and fancy a bit of fun, just talk nonsense and waste their time as long as you can...

You should just block them straight away. It’s high time these nuisance callers could be tracked down and made to pay fines so they finally get the message and quit!

Got a call from this number just yesterday. I couldn’t make out exactly which company she claimed to be from, but it was something about “my number being selected” or some nonsense like that. When I realised she had an Indian accent, I played along and said I was interested - then she actually hung up on me! 😂 Honestly, don’t waste your time talking to these folks. It’s good to see loads of people using this site to warn others about these dodgy scams.

Got a call at work from someone saying they were with O2 and could cut my bill by 40%. But our company handles all phones together, not individually, so I knew it was dodgy. Plus, who’d just want to give us such a huge discount outta nowhere? Total scam, watch out!

They’ve rung me a couple of times this week claiming they can cut my mobile bill by 40%. I didn’t bother with it since I’m not even a customer of theirs. They also didn’t seem to accept a simple no, which made me feel a bit iffy about the whole thing.

They said they were from O2 and offering a 40% discount. Then they put me through to someone who said they’d send two texts to confirm it was legit… both texts came from a genuine O2 number I usually get messages from. He asked me to give him the code from the second text. I told him I wanted to ring 202 first to check it out (like the first text said in case it was a scam), and he got really annoyed with me. Feels like if you give them that 6 digit code, they can get access to all your private info!
