I've been receiving numerous calls from this number inquiring about car accidents supposedly involving me. The thing is, I don't even drive! They become rather rude when I don’t provide the answers they expect. To top it all off, I've now started getting the dreaded silent calls. It's all quite unsettling and really causing me some stress. 😩

Our business got flooded with around 60 to 80 calls in just thirty minutes. It had to be some kind of automated system because the calls arrived way too fast for anyone to be manually calling back. Each call was from a different person, and, to top it off, a few were really quite unpleasant.

Received a telephone call at my place of employment from this individual who enquired how they'd managed to obtain my work number. To my surprise, he resorted to calling me a "complete moron" not once, but twice before abruptly ending the call. Tread carefully!

This bloke called saying he was Alex and wanted to talk about a car accident I’d been in. I told him I hadn’t had any accident but he kept saying it was my husband involved. I explained my husband died over 15 years ago. Then he switched to saying it was my partner, and when I told him no, he started swearing at me, asking what kind of rubbish life I had. I told him his language was awful and just hung up. I’m on the TPS, like many others, and I’ll definitely be reporting this annoying caller to them.

Got two calls today from someone saying I’d been in an accident. Both times I made it clear I’m on the TPS list. Still, they didn’t seem to care one bit - it’s like they know the TPS doesn’t actually stop them at all. Proper waste of time!

I got these calls three times all saying I’d been in some kind of accident. Ended up just hanging up on them the first two times. When they rang a third time, I told them I was from Microsoft and was spotting a virus on their system. Like with other times, another voice came on and called me a b***** for messing about with them.

I got a call about some car crash I didn’t even have! I just put the phone down, honestly, I can’t be bothered with all these pointless calls when I’ve got better stuff to do.

I experienced a rather unfortunate incident involving my vehicle and then received a call from someone inquiring about my wellbeing. However, when I pressed them for their identity, they claimed to be reaching out regarding my accident. At that point, I decided to end the conversation.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who kept asking about any crashes I’d been in. When I told her I’m on the TPS list (hopeless as it is), she didn’t like my answer and handed me over to her manager. This guy then started calling me a bloody idiot! When I warned him I’d sue if he didn’t stop pestering me, he went as far as threatening to show up at my place. Bit worrying, especially if you live alone. The last person I talked to finally agreed to take my number off their records.

I had a phone call from this number around twenty to nine this evening. I chose not to pick up. I’m left wondering why the authorities or British Telecom can’t look into this number and get it shut down. Seems like it would save a lot of hassle for everyone! Yours, a concerned inhabitant of Croydon

Some bloke rang me saying he was from "Accident Advice Services." He kept switching from asking if I’d been in a car accident to talking about one his records supposedly had on me. In the end, he just told me to go away and slammed the phone down.

Hello there, I received a phone call from this number both today and the week prior. It was someone from overseas, claiming to discuss an accident. They didn’t bother to get my name and were specifically asking for either me or my husband. When I mentioned that I had informed them last week that I hadn’t been in any accident, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite rude, really!

Got a call from a guy with a foreign accent talking about my car accident. When I told him I don’t even own a car, he asked if I’d been in any other accidents. Told him I’m on the TPS and he just hung up. Reported the whole thing to the TPS straight away.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from an "accident helpline". I told him straight away to take my number off his list since I’m ex-directory. He said he would, then ended the call quite nicely. Pretty clear it was one of those dodgy accident claim scams.

A very polite chap with an Eastern accent rang me at 4:47pm, saying he was calling about a recent car crash I’d been in. I told him I hadn’t been in any accident for more than 20 years. After that, he just ended the call. I tried ringing back to let him know my number’s ex-directory and to ask them to take me off their list or I’d report them for unsolicited calls. But like before, the number went to a voicemail box that was apparently full. This was actually the second time I’ve had a call like this in just two days.

My work place has about 250 phones and suddenly they all ring, one after the other. Some bloke says he’s with Accident Direct and claims I’d been in a crash. He went on for a bit and I told him he was spot on, then when he asked what really happened, I said I’d just started up the PC when suddenly - boom! Windows XP gave me one of those dreaded blue screen errors. Didn’t make him laugh though, he just cut me off :(.

Received a rather unexpected phone call from someone who had quite a thick accent-potentially Vietnamese? It was incredibly hard to follow what he was saying. He claimed to be Sean from the Accident Claims Helpline and was after details regarding an accident I supposedly had last September. When I responded with, "What accident?" he abruptly hung up. Quite peculiar!
