I've encountered this sort of thing before with numbers that begin with 020. Lately, I've been inundated with a barrage of pestering calls from a bunch of similar digits. This one appears to be part of the same troublesome group. I picked up the phone once, but to my dismay, there was only silence on the other end.

I always have my phone set to silence any number I don’t recognise, so I assume those calls just go to voicemail. This particular caller didn't bother leaving a message, so I have no idea who it was. Since I’m registered with the TPS, they really shouldn’t have called me in the first place. So, I’m posting this as a warning and have added their number to my huge list of blocked contacts. Seriously, what’s the point of these calls? They’re spending money and resources to ring me. Why isn’t cold-calling banned altogether? Everyone hates it, and nowadays you just assume it’s some kind of scam. It’s just sad to think these folks profit by targeting vulnerable people, and it’s even more frustrating that our laws and tech don’t stop this nonsense.
