Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, said they wanted to reset my credit card account, so watch out folks.

Had pretty much the same thing happen to me. My computer froze completely and none of the usual tricks like CTRL or turning it off worked. Ended up having to take it to a local computer repair place and it set me back £70 to fix 😞. Should’ve checked the number before calling back. The number’s always engaged now, so I reckon I’ve blocked it. Bit shocked my antivirus didn’t pick it up! Really don’t get how these scammers even manage to make cash from this stuff.

My laptop suddenly froze with loads of warning messages and a recorded voice telling me someone had hacked my IP with malware, and not to switch the computer off. One of the alerts showed a phone number saying it was from Windows Security. I pressed ctrl/shift/esc to open task manager and restarted from there. I’m pretty sure it was a scam, so I didn’t call the number.

This number keeps calling me non stop and each time I pick up, they just disconnect.

This number is definitely a FAKE Microsoft support line. I got a pop-up while using my Windows PC that locked my screen and told me not to turn off my computer, but to ring 0203-535-0407 instead. I just switched it off and rebooted without any issues. Then, I ran a full Microsoft Security scan and found no problems at all. My advice: don’t ever call this number. It’s almost certainly a scam trying to trick you into letting them access your computer, which could lead to losing your personal info and other serious trouble.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, said my identity was at risk. They used AnyDesk to connect to my laptop and had me open a programme using WIN+r. Honestly, they made it sound really believable.

Someone was on the phone trying to get into my laptop, pretty sketchy stuff. Felt like they wanted to hijack it or something. Didn't trust it at all, so I just hung up. Definitely looked like a scam call.

My computer froze so I had to turn it off and then turn it back on. This number popped up during all that.

Got an email from my parents about this number after they got a popup on their screen saying Microsoft was blocking their PC because it was supposedly hacked. Sounds like a classic scam trying to trick people by pretending to be from Microsoft.

On 22/02/23 my laptop just stopped working properly and a message popped up telling me to ring the windows helpline at the number shown above. I gave them a call but from how they spoke it definitely felt like a scam. They said they were based at 2 Kingdom Street, Paddington, London W2, but it all seemed a bit dodgy to me.
