I got a call from a woman with an accent that sounded like it could’ve come from somewhere in the Indian subcontinent, but the phone line was so crackly it was hard to be sure. She called herself a BT rep and said there had been broadband error codes on my line for the last couple of days. I told her that wasn’t the case, but she insisted I was wrong. I then explained an engineer had actually been at my house yesterday to check the line and everything was fine. After I said that, she just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.
