3 yearsHey everyone, just wanted to share what happened earlier. I got a call from this number while I was at work, but I didn’t pick up since my phone was on the desk. Usually if I get calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I Google them quickly. That’s how I found this site and it really made me think twice about answering. After seeing what others said about answering, I’d honestly advise against picking up these calls. From my own experience, this kind of call can be a scam. They ring you, claiming it’ll only take a minute or less, ask simple stuff like your name or age, just small talk. What they’re actually doing is recording your voice. Then, somehow, they use your voice to contact your bank pretending to be you and trick the system into transferring money. I know it sounds mad but it really happened to me. When I checked with my bank, Lloyds, they confirmed that a call was made from my number asking to transfer money. I said it wasn’t me but apparently the voice matched their records. Thankfully Lloyds returned my £6500 quickly, but it was an awful experience - loads of stress and worry. So yeah, really seriously, don’t answer calls from numbers you don’t know. If something important comes up, they’ll leave you a voicemail. Stay safe out there!Lloyds3 yearsJust got a call from this number while I was at work and didn’t pick up. My phone was just lying on my desk and when strange numbers ring me, I usually do a quick Google to check who they are. I found this site and it gave me a bit of peace of mind not to answer. After reading some reviews here from people who did answer, I can’t stress enough, don’t pick up unknown calls. Let me share something that happened to me before with a scam like this. They call you, saying it’ll only take a minute or so, asking basic stuff like your name or age, just casual talk. But what they’re really doing is recording your voice. Later, they use that recording to fake a call to your bank and get money transferred. It’s terrifying, not a joke at all. When it happened to me, my bank, Lloyds, told me I had called to move money out - but it wasn’t me. They said the voice matched their records. Thankfully, Lloyds refunded me £6500 quickly, but it was such a nightmare and caused a lot of stress. So seriously, DON'T answer calls from unknown numbers. If they really need to reach you, they’ll leave a voicemail.Lloyds3 yearsI got a call from this number but they didn’t leave any voicemail or anything. When I asked what info they needed, the caller insisted they required personal details like name, date of birth, postcode, address, and even bank info including the full card number and the security code on the back. Of course, I refused to share anything. I even told her I could tell the call was routed through a VPN from India or Pakistan. I suggested she find a different line of work that doesn’t involve trying to scam vulnerable people here in the UK.
