8 yearsI received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from Virgin, and it was my partner who took the call. This individual-who had a distinctly strong Indian accent-was insistent on obtaining his mother’s card details, despite the fact that my partner obviously isn’t the account holder. She was rather pushy, stating that it was perfectly fine for a family member to authorise payments, which is simply not the case! Virgin has a strict policy about only speaking with the bill payer. Even after we told her this, she was relentless. She mentioned she was finishing up work at five o’clock, yet when I promptly checked online, I discovered they’re open until eight!
