Someone rang me asking for my missus, who’s no longer with us. They must’ve got my number from Specsavers at some point. Ever since, I’ve been bombarded with calls from that same number and loads of other random salespeople or people doing surveys, all pretending they really need my feedback! Bottom line? Don’t hand over your number - or your partner’s - to Specsavers, it just leads to endless nuisance calls!

Can someone tell me how to stop their calls? Really need to block this number asap.

Got a call off this company saying they wanted to do a "review" on my current life insurance. When I asked what exactly they were offering, the woman said it wasn’t a sales pitch, just a review. I then asked which insurance firm I was with, and she claimed they didn’t know because it wasn’t part of the process. That’s when I got annoyed and said “So are you actually trying to sell me a life insurance plan then?” She repeated they weren’t a sales outfit. When I asked what the call was about again, all she said was “to review your existing life insurance.” I couldn’t help but ask her how she can cope working a job where she cold calls people all day and spins lies to get personal information and sign them up for things they don’t want. FYI - I don’t have any life insurance to speak of, so no review is needed. I just played along a bit to gather some info for these reverse phone lookup sites.

This number keeps ringing me up like five times daily and it’s proper annoying. Usually, I just ignore it. But on the one time I actually picked up, it was some cold caller from British Gas. Feels like they’re probably ringing about assorted stuff like mobile deals or other services, not just one thing.
