1 monthI got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from BT, saying my IP had somehow switched from private to public. She made me look at several screens and was about to open some software I didn't know when my daughter grabbed the phone and nicely ended the call. Later, I chatted with a Which? advisor who told me that unless I’m using a VPN, my IP wouldn’t just randomly change like that, so it was probably a scam.
