I told him straight up that what he was asking me to do was not only wrong but probably illegal too. He tried to argue back saying insurance firms have funds reserved exactly for claims like this, so it shouldn't be a problem. I kept insisting that since I hadn’t been hurt in any way, there was no reason for me to file a claim. His reply was just, "because you can." Stuff like this is partly why car insurance prices keep climbing, and honestly, the whole system needs to crack down on these kinds of scams.

Got a call from this bloke claiming to be from "Smith Care Comfort" - proper pushy fella with a thick accent, sounded like he was calling from some call centre in India. He was trying hard to get me to reply to some email they’d apparently sent me. Bit annoying.
