So I entered some contest for Toby Carvery on Insta and then got a call. They quickly switched to chat about Euro Millions and tried selling me some €39.99 monthly fee for a "free" chance. Definitely learnt my lesson - never join comps on Instagram again!

I discovered it was a con-someone claiming to be from Microsoft was attempting to gain remote access to my computer, all under the guise of addressing supposed problems with my laptop.

Got a call from a lady speaking with a Bangladeshi accent claiming she was from some government agency dealing with free accident compensation claims. I just said no and ended the chat right there.

I can’t believe that the classic Microsoft tech support scam is still going round. Heard some lady on the phone talking about problems with Microsoft, totally sounds like that old trick again. It’s mad that these scams never seem to stop!
