7 yearsI was contacted by a lottery scam that wanted my sort code, and then they asked for my personal bank ID, like my account number. When I declined to share my information, the person on the line said they’d fetch their manager. However, when the manager got on, they repeated the exact same request. I mentioned that I had looked up their company on Trustpilot, and that immediately led to them hanging up on me! Quite dodgy, if you ask me!Trustpilot7 yearsAlmost fell for the whole charade, I must confess! I received a call claiming I was a lucky winner of ten lines in the lottery this Friday. They had the cheek to ask for my numbers yet somehow already had my name, address, and phone number. The caller told me there'd be another 150 participants and that any winnings would be evenly distributed. Then, out of the blue, he requested my sort code, claiming it was just to verify my bank. Next, he wanted my account number. At that moment, it clicked that it was all a cunning ruse. Before I could hang up, his supervisor jumped on the line, attempting to belittle me for my scepticism. I played along whilst I quickly searched online and stumbled upon all these warnings. Many thanks to those who shared their experiences! I firmly told them I wasn't interested and promptly ended the call.7 yearsIt's so frustrating, they keep ringing me over and over every day.7 yearsThe person was pretty impolite, so I decided to just put the phone down!7 yearsthis number has called me like 12 times, but i only got to pick up the last call. they were saying i'd won some euro lottery prizes, like 3 of them, which is rubbish since i never even join. they told me to buy 75 more tickets, no chance. feels like a scam, probably just trying to get my bank info to rob me. dont share anything, just ignore them or tell them to shove off.Euro Lottery7 yearsThis number has been popping up loads over the past few weeks, but I usually miss the call. When I did pick up recently, they told me I’d been given the opportunity to win 10 lines in the EuroMillions.7 yearsMy phone has been bombarded with calls from this number, about three times daily. I finally answered and lo and behold, I was informed that I’d won a staggering 300 free lottery tickets! The voice on the other end carried a noticeable foreign accent and there was quite a commotion in the background-definitely sounds like some sort of large-scale operation. They even had my address on file and were relentless in their attempts to get my bank details, including account and sort codes. No legitimate company would request such sensitive information over the phone, which raises all the alarm bells for me. I strongly advise against any interaction with them. Since I disconnected the call, they’ve escalated their attempts, ringing anywhere from three to eight times a day. - caller: Unknown7 yearsI tend to avoid picking up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. Instead, I usually check them online first; if it turns out to be a legitimate caller, I’ll return the call. If not, I simply get rid of it.7 yearsI got a call from this number claiming I’d won a shot at 10 tickets for the EuroMillions draw happening tomorrow because I’d apparently entered an online competition. I wasn’t having any of it and told them I wasn’t interested but they kept pushing. I ended up just putting the phone down. They’ve been ringing me every day this past week! Fingers crossed now that I’ve made it clear I’m not keen, they’ll finally stop calling.7 yearsI'm getting daily calls from some lottery outfit, despite having blocked their number. It's utterly relentless!7 yearsI've been bombarded with numerous calls from different 020 numbers lately. I don't bother picking them up and just block each one as they come through. It's becoming rather tiresome, to be honest!7 yearsThis caller rang me multiple times over a few days. When I finally picked up, he informed me that I had supposedly entered a lottery online and had won some free entries. After a lengthy sales pitch, he mentioned I would receive a full refund. Naturally, I was taken aback and asked, “Refund for what exactly?” I reiterated that I had never participated in an online lottery, so I was puzzled about why he was contacting me and where he'd got my number from. I expressed my suspicion that this was a scam. He then attempted to call me again, and when I calmly replied, “Thank you, but I’d prefer not to proceed,” his tone shifted dramatically. He retorted that he wouldn’t waste any more of his time on someone like me, as he could be reaching out to others who might be interested. A legitimate business wouldn’t behave in such a manner. His accent suggested he might be from either Nigeria or Ghana-something along those lines.NigeriaGhana7 yearsI keep receiving numerous calls each day without fail.Submit Your Own Report (020 3514 1765)
