I got a call at about 8:23 in the morning on 4th February 2017. The guy on the other end, who sounded Asian, claimed to be working for BT Internet. He told me that some hackers had been messing with my internet and that my computer could be at risk. When I asked him to give me his info so I could double-check with BT, he just hung up on me. I tried ringing the number back but it just kept ringing without anyone picking up. Later, I got in touch with BT and they told me none of their staff had called me that day - it was definitely a scam.

Its TalkTalk calling me like mad, sometimes four times in just one hour! When I call them out on it, they just hang up, then they’re back ringing again about ten minutes later. Proper scam, if you ask me! Plus, their English isn’t great either.

The moment you respond, they’ve achieved their goal. Just let it ring out and, when it’s over, go ahead and block the number.

For the last week, our home phone has been ringing at least 3 or 4 times a day with calls from someone who sounds Asian, either a man or woman, saying they’re from TalkTalk. When I pick up, they start talking about some issue with my mobile’s router but then just hang up after asking me to confirm my number. Got a really annoying call from some Asian bloke claiming my computer had a virus. When I said I don’t even use that computer anymore, he had the nerve to ask if I’d turn on my laptop next time so he could “check” it. He called twice today!
