I looked up the customer service number for British Airways and happened to find this number. I rang it and explained I had to cancel my flights because my husband is ill with cancer. They then asked for a £150 deposit, supposedly a cancellation fee. When I was asked to approve the payment on my card, the name showing wasn’t British Airways but something unfamiliar. When I asked about it, they just hung up on me. I almost made the mistake of accepting the charge before I double-checked the real British Airways contact after the call, but then that number vanished from the search.
