I was searching for the customer service number for British Airways and stumbled upon this random number. When I rang them to discuss the cancellation of my flights due to my husband’s cancer diagnosis, they seemingly tried to charge me a non-refundable deposit of £150. When I was prompted to confirm the payment on my credit card, the name flashed up was unfamiliar and not linked to British Airways at all. When I probed further, they abruptly hung up. I almost made the foolish mistake of accepting the charge before, after the fact, I managed to track down the actual customer service number for British Airways. Strangely, that number vanished after my call.
