I've been bombarded with five calls today in a relentless barrage!

I'm receiving a barrage of daily calls from various similar numbers, and there's never anyone on the line. I decided to hold on longer one day until someone finally responded. I inquired about how they obtained my number, mentioning that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). The individual claimed that my provider, O2, handed over my details to them. However, I'm not even an O2 customer! I insisted they cease their daily calls and informed them I would be reporting this to Ofcom before I cut the call.
