Another 020 number has rung me, purporting to be from O2 and requesting my account details. They didn't even know who I was!

I was called by this number yesterday (Mon 04/03/2024) at 11:15 am. As a Londoner, I do not generally answer unknown calls and I did not pick up. Now that I see this number was searched for thrice before I did, I'm glad I didn't answer!

I received a call from a chap with an Asian accent claiming to represent my network provider, 3. The thing is, I haven’t been with them in ages, so it's pretty clear this was a scam. Best to be cautious!

I got a call from 02034814879 just now. I answered straight away, but the person on the other end hung up right off the bat. A quick search on this site revealed that many others have flagged this number as dodgy. I’ve now added it to my block list.

Received a call from someone who claimed to be representing Three, touting a brand new plan. As soon as I mentioned that I was already with Three, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a rather suspicious call, purporting to be from O2, stating I’d get a 40% discount on my bill if I just confirmed my email. I thought that was interesting and pointed out that if they truly had such a deal, they should be able to apply it without needing my confirmation. After making three more attempts to convince me, he eventually hung up. It’s obvious this was a scam!

Received a call from this number, but I couldn’t make head or tail of what they were saying, so I decided to hang up. I promptly blocked and reported them. Just moments later, they rang me again, this time from a different phone number. Honestly, I still couldn’t grasp a single word they uttered, and it left me feeling quite uneasy. So, I’ve blocked and reported them once more.

I received a call from an American number on my UK mobile while I was in Portugal. The caller didn't seem too sure about the reason for reaching out, which struck me as quite odd. Eventually, they just hung up and I decided to block them. Quite the peculiar experience, to say the least!

I recently got a phone call that seemed to originate from an Indian call centre claiming to represent O2. The connection was dreadful, making it quite difficult to grasp what the caller was saying. Something about the whole situation felt off, so I decided to disconnect and block the number altogether.

Had a call from someone claiming to be from 3, trying to sell me a SIM deal. Sounded like it came from an Indian call centre. Definitely seems dodgy to me!
Moreover, I’m on the TPP opt-out list, so I really shouldn’t be getting these types of calls at all, as it’s strictly against OfCom regulations.

Received a call from someone purporting to be with Three, chatting about some “poor signal” issues. The caller had a strong Indian accent and ended the conversation abruptly when I pointed out how crystal clear the line was, despite them supposedly ringing in from India! I'm situated in the East Midlands.

I received a call from this number, and as soon as I picked up, there was just breathing on the other end before they hung up after a few seconds. Sounds a bit dodgy, doesn’t it? It's the first time I've ever been contacted by this number, but if it happens again, I won't hesitate to block them.
