Just got a call from this number. Didn’t pick up. They left a voicemail but the line was terrible and the guy had a really strong Indian accent. Couldn't make out most of what he said, but I caught the words “job” and “consulting.” I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Claimed to be from “Carphone Warehouse”. The hold music was shockingly bad, and you could clearly hear loads of people, even kids shouting away in the background.

Avance Consulting is some sort of IT recruitment firm. They’ve rung me a few times now, always saying the same thing about wanting to put me forward for a job. I actually sent them my CV ages ago, but left out my address and DoB - seems normal nowadays. There’s a place in London called Advance Consulting or something like avanceservicesdotcom connected to this number. After that, I never got any follow up from them.

Eventually I just gave up on trying to follow her. I didn’t give any details or anything, so I’m really not sure what her goal was?

It really gets me how some people don’t even bother with the proper way to write phone numbers round here. I’ve seen a few texts where the caller forgets the initial zero when telling me what number to ring back. Like they say “ring me on 203” instead of “0203.” Proper clueless.

Couldn’t really get what they was saying, just caught bits like job and contact. Thought it might be a scam so looked it up here. Same as others, really thick Indian accent. Better just block or ignore the call.

They said I got a job, but never gave me any details about the contract or who to contact. So I rang the company where I thought I’d be working and they told me someone hacked them a while ago and they've already reported it to the police. Turns out the job offer was completely fake! I ended up sending them a scanned copy of my passport and my degree certificate. No idea what they plan to do with that. Definitely a scam.

Advance Consulting was going on about some job oppurtunity. The caller had a really strong Indian accent and honestly, once you hear that, it usually screams scam. They really ought to hire people who speak proper English if they wanna make their cons seem legit, like seriously!!!

Looks like a total scam, my phone flagged this number straight away so I didn’t answer initially. Got curious and called back, but nobody answered, just a voicemail that told me to enter some extension number. Definately not a legit call. Probably just spam, so be careful!

I got a call from Avance Consulting, they’re based in India, saying they’ve got a job in the UK for me! They mentioned really cheap fees, but most of their clients seem to be Indian firms like Wipro, HCL, and Infosys. Honestly, they never came across as very professional to me.

Greetings! This afternoon, I happened to miss a phone call, but a woman did leave a message on my voicemail. Unfortunately, when she attempted to introduce herself and specify her role, her words were quite muddled and hard to grasp. In the end, she mentioned that she would follow up with an email containing her contact information, yet I still haven’t received anything from her. Have any of you experienced something similar?
