For the past week, I've been getting loads of calls, mostly silent ones that just hang up after a bit. Lately, they've been ringing me really early in the morning and I've been woken up twice now. It's starting to feel like harassment. The caller just says some random name that I've never heard before.

Got a call from a bloke who actually knew my name, but when I asked who he was, he kept dodging the question. He did drop the word ‘charities’ though. I asked a couple of times for more info, but he just avoided giving a straight answer. Ended up hanging up - felt really dodgy and odd.

The person who rang me actually knew my name and said they were calling for McMillan. They went on about how the charity’s had a tough time because of the virus and how their fundraising had dropped since they couldn’t run coffee mornings and stuff. When I mentioned I already give them money monthly by direct debit, they didn’t try too hard to convince me. They asked if I wanted to check or update my info with them but didn’t push much - I think they sensed I was a bit wary. Overall, the call felt pretty strange to me.

I've been getting a fair few calls from this number over the past few days. Thanks to my caller ID, I've chosen to ignore them. Yet, the calls persist, it’s quite maddening!

They called pretending to be from a well known trust charity, using some of my details and then tried to ask for more info through a survey. Honestly, it felt really dodgy!

Dont share any of your details and try to stay calm! I managed to mess around with them and had them chatting for more than 45 minutes.

It was another bogus survey, they wanted my personal info straight away. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Glad I can also report it on the Who Called Me website to warn others. Cheers!
