Yesterday marked the fourth time I received an unsolicited phone call. It was a rather posh voice droning on about my washing machine warranty. To be honest, my machine is positively prehistoric and certainly not covered by any sort of guarantee. Additionally, I had calls from BT, Amazon Prime, and Talk Talk, to boot. Just last week, I even received a dodgy email from TV Licensing. Being quite advanced in years and caring for my husband, who is disabled, I’m absolutely at my wits' end with all this.

I just received a rather peculiar phone call. Initially, there was some jolly music echoing in the background, which suddenly morphed into the familiar hum of office chatter. They even had my name right! However, when I inquired about the purpose of the call, they mentioned something along the lines of 'your washing machine at an INCORRECT ADDRESS'-nearly right, but not quite. As soon as I flagged the issue with the address, they abruptly ended the call. What a dodgy scammer! They must have snagged my details from an insurance company-caller identification: Washing Machine / Insurance.
