I received a call on my mobile today and they addressed me by name, which left me quite perplexed. Here are a couple of thoughts: Firstly, I’ve only shared my number with my closest family-my husband and kids-so it’s a bit concerning how they managed to get hold of my details. When I attempted to return the call to express my discontent, I was met with a recorded message from something called "Media Match." It seems they operate using a variety of different phone lines. A quick search led me to some useful information on another platform: "I just had a word with them and I'm finally off their calling list! If you’re in the same boat, shout out to Jason at Media Match complaints on 0333 444 0774-it’s the Claims Inclusive line, and they’ll connect you." So it appears that Media Match operates under the name Claims Inclusive. I’m definitely planning to get in touch with their headquarters to demand an explanation about how they obtained my phone number.

I received a call on my mobile from a stranger who knew my name and was keen to pitch me a product. It's peculiar since only my close family are aware of my number. I plan to get in touch with EE/Orange to investigate how this caller managed to get hold of my personal information.

Got a call from someone about my bank claim, said it was PPI related. Felt a bit iffy about it.

I got a call about some PPI thing and told the woman I was at work and couldn't deal with it, and to remove me from their list. She got really angry and started shouting, so I just hung up and blocked the number. Definitely don’t bother answering if you don’t wanna waste your time.

Got a call out the blue from someone about a PPI claim, some bloke called Clements. As soon as he asked for my address to post some forms for me to fill in and send back, I knew it was one of those dodgy scams. I told him no thanks, but I gave him an email I hardly ever check. Seemed like the lad had a hard time getting his words out properly, definitely didn’t sound like he’d been trained well.
