11 yearsI've been inundated with calls from this number which allegedly belongs to a firm called Acasta.co.uk, supposedly aiding folks in claiming personal injuries from road traffic accidents. In a moment of poor judgement, I signed an online consent form allowing them to reach out to third parties regarding an incident I had back in June last year. However, after speaking with my insurer, I've begun to doubt their legitimacy. They even suggested I get in touch again to rescind my consent. When I tried to call them back, all I got was some monotonous music-definitely not a great sign. A bit of digging revealed only Acasta Europe, so I gave them a bell, and they insisted they don't initiate contact for claims; people need to reach out to them instead. Apparently, this dodgy outfit has been the subject of numerous inquiries recently, and they've been flagged to the Ministry of Justice as a scam. Thank goodness I didn't disclose any banking details, but I'm still anxious about that consent form. I recognise I'm a bit late to the party with my concerns, but perhaps by sharing my experience, I can alert others to avoid them like the plague.
